Islamophobia Awareness workshop 2024

Join us for an enlightening event organised by the Islamic Society of the University of Salford in collaboration with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) department and the Student Union (SU). We are hosting an interactive workshop aimed to deepen the understanding of Islamophobia, raise awareness and the importance of reporting Islamophobic incidents.

The event will commence with an introduction from esteemed figures, including the CEO of the Student Union, the Vice-Chancellor of the EDI department, as well as Report & Support and other senior staff members. Their presence and support portrays the university's commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, interactive sessions, and presentations led by experts from the Islamophobia Awareness Month organisation. Through dialogue and education, we aim to raise awareness, challenge misconceptions, and promote solidarity.

As part of our hospitality; tea, coffee, & snacks will be provided to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

We look forward to welcoming you to this productive Islamophobia Awareness Workshop, as we work together to combat Islamophobia. This is the first of many events!

Note: the workshop is open for all backgrounds, faiths or no faith. Everyone is welcome 😇
