 "The Idol"" is a poignant Palestinian film directed by Hany Abu-Assad, released in 2015. It tells the true story of Mohammad Assaf, a young singer from Gaza who dreams of escaping poverty and conflict through music. Despite facing numerous obstacles, Mohammad auditions for Arab Idol, showcasing his talent and resilience. The film captures the spirit of hope amidst adversity, celebrating the power of music to transcend barriers and inspire.

We will be hosting Qais Attaallah, who played the role of Mohammad Assaf in his childhood. After the film, Qais will be talking about his experience in acting in this film, and how he felt while representing someone's life that is full of difficulties and struggles.
