Put on your glad rags and come to the friendliest pub in Manchester for a Queer and Femme focused ball and music night! The dress-up theme is 1920s, from Great Gatsby to Great Depression. But beyond the stereotypes is a special part of LGBTQ history which our event will pay hommage to as represented through our event's icon: Gladys Bently of the Harlem Music Hall scene.
Inspired by the Amercian Queer Ballrooms of New York and Philadelphia, there will be a performance showcase and cabaret featuring drag, burlesque, poetry and dance including both Pole and SUDS. We'll then round the night off with music spun by a selection of local DJs in the Queer and Femme community of Manchester and our DJ Society. Doors open at 18:00 and we will finish at midnight.
