But who are School Reps?

Glad you asked! School Reps are senior representatives who work with the SU and your school to improve your student experience. They’re responsible for several courses in your school.

School Reps also collab with Sabbatical officers and senior staff from your schools to solve issues raised by you guys! They are super motivated and easy to approach, so feel free to say hi and speak to them about your experience - whether good or bad! Your feedback doesn’t always need to be negative, and you can also speak about what you are enjoying about your course and what you feel works well, in the hope that this can continue.

Our School Reps are super passionate about change and supporting your ideas. Here is what our School Rep Angela Ashcroft had to say about why she became a rep:

‘Students have a lot of good ideas to help their courses run better, and I didn’t want those ideas to be lost!’

When asked why she wanted to be a School Rep, Claire Muzariri said:

‘I wanted to be a school rep so I can be the bridge between students and academic staff. For there to be a change for the better, communication is key and I felt strongly about being that voice for my peers.’

At Salford, we want to make sure your voice is always heard, and you play a role in the co-creation of your student experience. This is why we have our motivated School Reps to take on your feedback and bring your desired changes in your schools!
