The Blair Project is a social enterprise non-profit organisation, specialising in providing green tech education and skills training to young people from marginalised backgrounds.
The Blair Project is delivering a programme called Planet Possibility, which aims to increase participation in Physics in young people - particularly young people from backgrounds which are traditionally under-represented in the subject. As part of this programme we will be specifically targeting young people from BAME backgrounds.
We require volunteers to present our online Physics club to School STEM Clubs or Youth Clubs. Our physics clubs are online safe spaces for young people to learn more about Physics by undertaking interactive and entertaining experiments and activities. They will be delivered online weekly for an hour via Zoom or Teams and we require people to present 3 or 4 classes. Volunteers would be required to have a reasonable knowledge of Physics and studied it to A Level standard, but it is not required that they are studying it for their degree.
This would be a great opportunity for someone to develop their presentation skills and further entrench their knowledge of Physics.
