Text Santa is ITV’s annual charity fundraising appeal. £15m has been raised since Text Santa bean in 2011 and each year the appeal raises money and awareness for six UK charities.

Their aim is to improve the quality of life for vulnerable people in the UK, engaging with the nation to make a difference during Christmas time. All the money raised is split equally between each charities, Teenage Cancer Trust, Guide Dogs, WellChild, Marie Curie Cane Cure, Alzheimer’s Society and Together for Short Lives.

This is where we come in! ITV are launching for the first time in 2014, the Text Santa Big Quiz! They have given us the chance to get involved in the new launch and help raise some vital money for all the charities.

Salford won’t be the only university who will be holding the Text Santa Big Quiz, many universities around the UK are also taking part on this evening of December 1^st 2014, so twitter will be heaving with photos and tweets from the night!

We know our regular quiz night is a popular one in Atmosphere so we thought this would be a perfect opportunity to do our bit for those in need around Christmas time! Not only is this organised by your Students’ Union, RAG are also taking part in this big event in helping us raise as much money as possible! So get your Santa hats at the ready and come to our Text Santa Big Quiz!
