Inspired by Ewan MacColl’s anthemic song of love & hope , Dirty Old Town Festival is a celebration of Salford’s influence on British popular culture.
Featuring Music , Film , Theatre , Drama , Comedy & Poetry the event will showcase talented people who live , work or study in Salford and how the ‘Dirty Old Town’ creatively inspires diverse communities to engage with arts & culture .
The festival aims to raise awareness of Salford’s cultural significance and raise money for Kidscan Childrens Cancer research charity & Oxfam with all proceeds being donated
Tickets are £5 and are also available from the Students' Union finance office

For events taking place in Atmosphere bar or at night clubs, entry will only be permitted for those over the age of 18.
Ticketed events:
Ticket holders must be a current student at the University of Salford, or accompanied by a current student at the University of Salford who is named on the ticket.
Tickets can not be returned or refunded. Tickets may be exchanged provided the recipient of the ticket is a current student at the University of Salford. Tickets exchanged to non-students will be deemed void and entry will be refused.
Club Nights:
Student ID must be shown be shown on entry.
Alcohol purchased outside the venue may not be taken inside.
Security reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone they deem to be heavily intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances (including laughing gas). Security also reserve the right to eject anyone they deem to be causing a disturbance, acting in a violent manor, handling illegal substance or in any other way violating the rules of the venue.
