Still revelling in those Varsity Victory Vibes? Well we certainly are!

The Varsity trophy has come home to Salford and we couldn’t be more proud of all the clubs which took part and supported Team Salford on the day that will go down in history here at Salford.

Although faced with torrential rain just days before, which unfortunately prevented both men’s and women’s Rugby Union matches from going ahead, a total of 12 out of 20 sports were won by Team Salford in order to steal the Varsity title!

The sports which Salford won were (in no particular order):

• Badminton
• Basketball (Men’s)
• Basketball (Women’s)
• Cheerleading
• Fencing
• Futsal
• Softball
• Table Tennis
• Ultimate Frisbee
• Volleyball
• Women’s Football

After ALL clubs trained hard and performed even better, we celebrated Salford’s triumph in style at our very own Atmosphere Bar & Kitchen!

Big thanks to all the staff and students which played a part in the big day – Varsity simply wouldn’t have happened without all the blood, sweat and tears which went into our first ever Varsity on home turf! Bring on 2018…
