Give Sport A Go is the Union's recreational sports and physical activity programme. Give Sport A Go has a different approach to participation in sport, putting on drop in weekly sessions with absolutely no commitment to continue participating. Our sessions provide a non-competitive and relaxed environment to participate in whatever your ability. No sign up is required, simply turn up to an activity and Give Sport A Go.
We have a wide range of activities, from Badminton to Yoga, and our sessions are open to all students and staff on a pay-as-you-go basis, with sessions costing no more than £1 and all equipment provided. Our sessions include:

Campus Leagues offers students the opportunity to play weekly sports in a fun and social league, with you creating teams to represent halls of residence, society groups or academic schools; the options are endless! Leagues will be made up of weekly fixtures across each semester and you can keep up to date with all the results and league tables via the Team Salford social media accounts.
So however you want to compete and whoever you want to compete with, then it’s likely that Campus Leagues has something for you!

The chance to become a sports official is here, with the Sports Officials Development Programme. We will support you with National Governing Body approved training, deployment into fixtures to gain experience and link you to the wider community to gain paid work.
