Since 1994, Mustard Tree has transformed the lives of people in Greater Manchester who are trapped in poverty or homelessness, by enabling them to gain the skills and self-confidence they need to reach their full potential.
Looking for a way to make a real, hands-on difference and combat poverty now? Do you like chatting, listening and helping others? We're in need of non-judgemental, patient and kind people to support our Food Club.
Mustard Tree's Food Club allows individuals facing poverty and homelessness to access food in an easy and dignified way. Food Club looks and feels similar to a small supermarket, with the focus on giving back choice to people facing poverty.
You'll help to create a warm welcome for clients using the Food Club and provide general support, including packing shopping bags. You'll also assist in the running of the Food Club, including restocking shelves and unpacking donations.
As a Food Club volunteer you'll play a vital role, supporting one of the charities most essential services and make a genuine difference to the lives of people in Manchester. A delicious freshly cooked lunch is available each day for all volunteers and travel expenses can be reimbursed!
