We caught up with our Cheerleading Club's very own captain Jess Prudence ahead of Varsity on 22nd March.

With a team of approximately 27, Salford Sirens are excited for some serious Salford spirit this year with the added bonus of being on home turf. Team captain, Jess Prudence, reckons that with more Salford supporters being present this year there’s a real chance we can take that trophy from Chester! She also tells us that credit must go to both teams as there was no bad rivalry last year, they warmed up together and some even stayed in touch after the competition.

However, it’s fair to say the competition was a tough one, Jess tells us that the Sirens held their own against Chester - expressing her Salford pride, and explaining that they do in fact perform more advanced routines than Chester and really deserve to have that recognised by their supporters and their opponents this year!

Performing at half time during the Men’s Basketball feature game, Cheer are keen to spice up the atmosphere in the Sports Centre and encourage everyone to come down and support. It’s sure to be a fantastic end to a fantastic day of sport.

WE ARE SALFORD SIRENS – WHY ARE YOU SILENT?!
