The University of Salford Students’ Union wishes to extend its deepest condolences to the people of Lebanon in the aftermath of the disaster that took place on Tuesday, August 4th in Beirut. We are shocked and saddened by this catastrophe, occurring as it has against the backdrop of an extremely challenging global situation. We stand in solidarity with everyone who has been affected, both in Lebanon and worldwide.

Our hearts go out to our Lebanese students, as well as the wider Lebanese community here in Manchester. We are incredibly privileged to be part of Manchester’s multicultural community, and we cherish the diversity of Salford’s student body.

If you or anyone you know has been affected by the disaster and requires support, please don’t hesitate to contact any of the resources below, or myself or Victory (International Student Officer). If you are able to do so, please consider lending your support to the relief effort in Beirut.
