From Monday 27th November til Friday 1st December the University is celebrating the first ever Salford Inclusion and Diversity Week. The campaign is all about showing pride in the diversity of cultures and faiths in our campus community and focuses on the following three key objectives:

  1. To continue bridging the gaps in understanding and awareness surrounding culture and faith, between staff and students alike.
  2. To initiate the everyday conversations about culture and faith differences around us, which often form the foundation of cultural chance and acceptance.
  3. To bring together staff, students and alumni to share their experiences of culture and faith differences in life, work and wider society.

The campaign week culminates in a special morning of thought-provoking talks from inspiring alumni, colleagues and students at Salford, as well as a key note from our Chancellor Jackie Kay. Each speaker will discuss their experiences of culture and faith differences in life, work and wider society. SID Role Models takes place on Friday 1st December from 10am - 12pm in Council Chambers at The Old Fire Station. Space is limited at this event so register your place now.

All the events below are free to attend and you can also follow the campaign on social media using the #SIDWeek hashtag.
