Dear Salford students,

Following the University of Salford announcement to suspend all face-to-face teaching, Salford SU is taking steps to improve student safety on campus. The health and wellbeing of our students and staff is paramount and we fully support the University’s decision.

From 17:00 on Tuesday 17 March 2020, all Students’ Union staff will be working from home but still available to you, if you need us. Find out how you can get in touch HERE.

Atmosphere Kitchen & Bar is temporarily closed and all regular University House activity, including our Rafiki Support Service, Give Sport A Go and Campus Leagues are suspended until further notice. If you are expecting to arrive for an activity or event, we advise you get in touch with the organisers.

We understand this is an unsettling time and an ongoing, evolving situation. We will regularly update our FAQs, which you can find HERE.

As face-to-face activity reduces our work at Salford SU doesn’t stop, we promise to continue representing you and raise issues that affect your student experience. We will focus on:

  • -Ensuring clear and consistent communication regarding the situation and how this affects your studies

  • -Working with you and the University to represent your interests and minimise impact

  • -Ensuring that we continue to support the health and wellbeing of students at Salford

  •

In this time, we ask you to be kind, look after your neighbours and encourage you to get in contact if you need help or support in any way.

Evangeline Adams,
