Salford University Physics Society
 Welcome to the Salford University Physics Society (SUPS) page on the Salford Student Union site.SUPS exists to help students see the fun side of physics (it's not all complicated maths and lab reports). We organise trips to cutting edge facilities, host occasional guest lectures and are responsible for, the now legendary, 'SUPS Cheese & Wine' evenings. This page is only intended to help you sign up to the society and to find our other resources online. All information regarding events, trips and guest lectures will be posted to our Facebook page (just click 'Like' in the box to the right to join the page and get updates & event invitations) and will be posted to the message boards in the study room at the end of the corridor by the main lab. You can also always ask any member of the committee whenever you see them. You can sign up as a member using this website. Go to the 'Student Activities' tab at the top of the page then select 'Join a Group' from the drop down list. If you don't already have an account create one using the link on the left side of the page otherwise, log in using the panel in the same place. Then select the blue 'Join a Group Online' button on the right of the page. Fill in your details if you haven't already and then select the grey 'Student Activity Groups' tab. Scroll down until you see the 'Physics Society' box. Click the small box to the right of it so it has a tick in and scroll to the bottom of the page. Click 'Next', click 'Next' again, and answer the questions. You'll then be taken to the payment page Membership costs £5 for the year and covers entry to the first Cheese & Wine event. You can pay through the site with a card OR if you don't want to pay the card fee you can pay us in person, either at Cheese & Wine or whenever you see us. Just select 'Pay At Union' at the checkout stage. We hope to see you soon, |
