Your vote matters, make sure you don't lose it!

You won't be able to vote in the upcoming General Election if you haven't registered to vote

Thursday 8th June is your chance to vote for the party who you want to lead our country, and the person who you want to be your member of parliament, but you can only do so if you have told the local council that you wish to be a voter.

You have until Monday 22nd May to register to vote, you can do it online and it will only take 5 minutes. Any British citizen, qualifying Commonwealth citizen or citizen of the Republic of Ireland who is 18 or over on Election Day can register to vote in the general election. It is important to register at both your home address and your student term-time address so that you will be able to vote regardless of whether you are at University or at home. If you are going to be away on the 8th June you can register to vote by post or by proxy.

This is your chance to have your say on the future of the country, and the direction you want it to go in - make sure you don't waste it!
