Making sure that students’ voices are represented to the University is one of the most important things we do as your Students’ Union. Based on feedback from student, the Union will campaign to change University policy and practices, aiming to make a positive difference to Salford students’ lives.
We try to achive this in a number of ways:

The Students' union is run by students for students so every year we hold Students' Union Elections where students get the opportunity to stand for election as well as vote for those they want to represent them. |

The Students Union currently recruits 600 student representatives and 20 Student Liaison Reps. Their role is to gather feedback from fellow students about issues they are facing regarding their course oand general academic experience. |

Every year the Union holds a number of events that give students the opportunity to debate on, decide and scrutinise what the Union is doing and what it should be doing for them. Those include the yearly AGM, You Decide and the Faculty Forums. |

|
Collectives are groups of studenst that get together and work on specific issues that affect students such as environmental, postgraduate and international. |
