The Students' Union is led by students for the benefit of students.

Representing the student voice at the University and beyond is one of the most important things we do as a Union. This is why all of our student representatives are currently studying at or have studied at Salford.
Your sabbatical officers: The four elected students who lead your Students' Union. There is a sabbatical officer representing the students in every College and they are here to ensure you have the best possible experience at Salford. Find out more about your sabbatical officers
Student reps: Every course at Salford has a student rep who listens to the concerns and experiences of their course mates and acts as a spokesperson to the University. They tend to focus on academic aspects of the course such as course content, provision of resources, workload, assessment and reading lists. Find out more about the Student Rep system
Student Council: The Council is made up of 22 Student Councillors who take leadership roles within the Union’s representation and campaigning work, making recommendations to the Sabbatical Officers as to the direction of the Union. Find out more about Student Council
