Why did you run for Sabbatical Officer?

I’ve been really involved with the Union over the past few years and I wanted to play my part in ensuring that all students have the best experience possible during their time here. Standing in election seemed like the best way to do that and I decided I was up to the challenge and here I am!

What do you do when you’re not working at the Union?

I’m really involved with and cox for the University Rowing Team so you can usually find me down at the Boat House at Salford Quays or at a race somewhere around the country. I’m also a big fan of eating out so I like to do that as often as possible!

What do you want to do after this year?

Finish my PhD!

What big plans do you have for the Union?

To see more and more students get involved in all the different aspects of the Union, to have their say and bring about the changes they want to see. I’m also really excited about our Education Manifesto which will be launching soon and the excellent social events we’re putting on such as the Welcome Ball and the brand new club night at 42s.

What is your favourite food?

Ooo that’s a tough one! I’d have to go with cheese or pasta.

What would you do with one million pounds?

I’d buy the Students’ Union a swanky, brand new state-of-the-art building and Bar!

What is your favourite thing about the University of Salford?

The Students’ Union!
