This is your opportunity to stand for one of four positions: President, Vice President, Student Councillor and Student Trustee. The posts are open to all students.
Nominations open on 1 February and close at 9am on 1 March.

You must read the information below as part of the nominations process.
The Students’ Union is registered as a Charity. There is a substantial body of government legislation and case law concerned with our activities and with the conduct of the Student Officers who will form part of our Trustee Board. The ability to hold trustee status is a prerequisite of being a member of the Board, as you will be a trustee of a charitable organisation. The following statements outline the requirements of a trustee.
Please read the statements. If you can agree to each of them please tick the declaration box.
If you have a problem with any of the statements, please see one of the Returning Officers or the Union Chief Executive as soon as possible. Alternatively, you should seek your own legal advice or contact the Charity Commission for information.

I have not been convicted at any time of any offence involving deception or dishonesty unless the conviction is legally regarded as spent.

I am not an undischarged bankrupt.

I have not made compositions or arrangements with any creditors that I have not discharged.

I have not at any time been removed by the Commissioners or by the court in England, Northern Ireland and Wales or by the Court of Sessions in Scotland from being a trustee because of misconduct.

I am not disqualified from being a company director.

I am not subject to an order made under insolvency under section 429(2) (b) of the Insolvency Act 1986. I will not be employed as a member of student staff during my term of office
