On a weekly basis, Helen will contact each Club Chair to discuss transport arrangements for away matches. Whenever possible, students are expected to use their own vehicles, provided that they are registered under the Transport Policy (see 6.2 above), and will be reimbursed for fuel upon submission of receipts. Alternatively, if your Club has a driver who possesses the MIDAS qualification, (see 6.3 above), then a hired minibus will be booked on your Club’s behalf. As a last resort, either a minibus/taxi or coach will be used to take teams to away fixtures.

Once matches have been confirmed with the opposing universities and transport has been arranged through liaison with the Club Chair, an e-mail to all Club Chairs/Fixture Secretaries will be sent including the fixture list which will include start times, venues and transport arrangements. Directions to venues will also be provided.
All expenditure for transport to BUCS fixtures is paid for by the Students’ Union, should any student need to pay for a BUCS related item this is refundable pending receipts.
