As a student at University you may live in the University's Redisential Accommodation, private accommodation, be a homeowner or you could even be looking for a place to live.

Wherever you live you may encounter some problems whether it is related to your landlord or even finances. The Advice Centre can help support you with a range of issues, queries, or problems that you may encounter.

If you have any issues relating to you accommodation please  contact the Advice Centre or have a look at the useful links pages. There are also some information leaflets available:

 Manchester Student Homes

We work closely with the University’s Accommodation Service so that we can ensure that you are getting the best possible service if you’re applying for or living in University halls.

If you prefer to share a house with other students, live with an owner in their home, rent a flat or live in a private hall of residence with other members of Greater Manchester’s student community, Manchester Student Homes (MSH) can help you find somewhere. MSH is the Union’s  source of privately rented accommodation and lists a wide range of houses, flats, rooms and private halls in Salford and Manchester.

Homes are listed at
www.manchesterstudenthomes.com You can contact MSH on 0161 275 7680, email msh@manchester.ac.uk or drop in to the bureau in the University Precinct Centre on Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9RS.

MSH landlords commit to a Code of Standards, guaranteeing quality, safe, secure accommodation and good working practices. MSH offer housing advice and can help resolve any issues that arise with registered landlords. MSH services are free to Salford students.
