A massive thank you to all those students who volunteered, worked and partied with us to make Atmosfield music festival something great!

A big thank you to everyone that helped the Atmosfield vision become a reality. Some of you were with ‘Festival Director’ Alex Thorp from start to finish, even all the way till 8pm Sunday night when we finally cleared the site!

We are so proud of our student organising committee who really pulled together something unique and that we thought would be impossible.

Our thanks to the University for their funding and of course the hard working Union staff who worked along Semester Two operations to make it run smoothly along with the dedicated student team.

Our glowing Hidden Forest was enjoyed by 1000 of you, and we were amazed how clean and peaceful the festival site was even though we were going so hard!

Our CEO, Julie Byrd said “Atmosfield to Atmospheric…………….what a weekend! I can’t put into words how proud I am of the events team and all the people who have worked in whatever capacity to deliver such a great event.

“I’d like to thank everyone who did their bit to make the event happen……..everyone pulled together and we made a mark on the history of the University.

“It’s difficult to single anyone out but I do think the Atmosfield dream team lead by Alex have been phenomenal and thanks also to Luke Fitzmaurice our external events consultant for his considerable knowledge and valuable input. A first for Salford Students’ Union and definitely won’t be the last!”

Highlights of the day included:

• Hoosiers playing their set from the ground, in the crowd, right among you!
• MISTAJAM! He’s a legend. Nuff’ said
• VIP drinks with a view from above it all in the double decker bus
• Getting up close and personal in the ‘Under the Earth’ Igloo tent stage
• A euphoric mid-evening set from our very own Rec Night after party favourite Carl Kennedy
• Audio Sauce –Atmosphere’s favourite son performed like he’d done it all his life.
• An incredible show stopper from chart topping duo Matrix & Futurebound
