Here at the Union, our facebook feed has been full of graduation pictures this week - it's been a fantastic (and mainly sunny!) week down at the Lowry, and we wish all graduating students our congratulations and the best of luck for the future.

This week also saw the graduation of two Students' Union Presidents - the current office holder Marina Hristova (left), and the 2013/14 President - Mishal Saeed (right).  Both officers have contributed immensely to the student experience here at Salford.  During her two years in office, Mishal organised the successful TEDx conferences, lobbied the University for various academic improvements, researched and launched the 'student value checklist' and started our outreach 'SU on tour' activities.  Mishal graduated from her undergraduate degree this week and has secured a place for postgraduate study at the University of Oxford. 

Marina is about to start her second year in office at the Union, and as Vice President for Business and Law last year helped recruit and train Student Reps, organised events for international students and secured additional locker space for students on campus. Marina graduated this week with an MA in International Journalism.
