Library fines - A clean slate and a better system

Monday 26-01-2015 - 10:30

We want to make sure you have the best possible experience at Salford, so The Library is changing the way you’re charged for overdue books. From Semester two, you won’t be charged if your books are late back unless another student has requested them.

Keeping a close eye on your University email will be more important than ever under the new system, in order to check for requests on any books that you have. You’ll also need to familiarise yourself with the request process.

To get the new system up and running, all fines which haven’t yet been paid will be waived from Semester two, whether or not the books have already been returned.

Watch Students’ Union President Fiza Ikram and Dean of Students Sam Grogan explain the changes and how they will benefit you.

More information, including how to request books is on our website www.salford.ac.uk/library
