The Union is excited to announce the first Small World Language Cafe - an opportunity to practise spoken English, share cultural interests and socialise.  Each fortnight in Atmosphere Cafe, you are invited to come along for a hot drink and the chance to participate in engaging discussions and activities.  The Cafe environment will be fully supportive, and we welcome all students (not only international students) to come along and share experiences and language from their home country.

Café-goers will come from all walks of life and will have a wide variety of interests so to get the best out of the experience you need to be:

• Open-minded
• Interested in people and other cultures
• Able to listen as well as speak
• Willing to share responsibility for making the Language Café a success

Language Cafés are not classrooms so there are never any lessons or tests as such, but there will be a facilitator present to ensure the conversation is flowing easily!
