After a fantastic voting week, the results are in!

Yesterday, Atmosphere Kitchen and Bar was transformed for the evening from our beautiful plush venue to the great golden halls of Valhalla, the Viking afterlife for brave and bold warriors.

A tense evening, with plenty of suspense, students enjoyed the Vikings theme that has shaped our campaign for the last few weeks – with many enjoying ‘getting on the boat’ to vote – literally!

Over 2,500 Salford students voted in the election – not quite breaking last year’s record performance. However, with 26 candidates (a new nomination record!) standing for the position of President and four Vice Presidents, the elections were fiercely contested.

Thanks to our terrific activity groups - Salford University Dance Society, and Comedy Society who performed again this year and something different with a set from a singer/songwriter who recently performed at our new Friday Live event, Lou Foulkes.

Finally, the results for 2015/16 were announced –
