We would like to congratulate Professor Helen Marshall who was today announced as the University's new Vice Chancellor.

Professor Marshall has been acting Vice-Chancellor since December 2014 after Martin Hall, our previous Vice-Chancellor, announced his retirement.

Professor Marshall joined Salford in July 2013 as the University’s deputy Vice Chancellor and has since worked closely with the Union President and the Vice-Presidents to develop a firm relationship between us and the University.

Along with Helen and her senior leadership team, the Students’ Union will continue to work in collaboration to enhance student’s lives and experiences at Salford.

We are looking forward to working with her and wish her all the best in her new role.

Fiza Ikram
President
