Shock Radio is the Students' Union's award winning radio station, based in the heart of the Union in University House.
Shock Radio broadcasts all year round from its new state of the art studios, with live programming every day during term time from 9am until midnight, and non stop great music at all other times. If you’re a budding radio presenter, producer, journalist, or fancy a career behind the scenes, we have opportunities for you to get involved. It’s never been more important to acquire the valuable skills and experience you’ll need to succeed – and Shock Radio can provide these.

Our student led newspaper has been in print since the Union began. Starting out as the Students' Union Newsletter and later developing into The Salforidan, the brand switched to an online platform in the 2000s. Now, The Salfordian is making a come back with our Journalism Society taking up the reigns and pushing to make the newletter as good as it once was.
