What Students Have to Say about Student Activities
Adam Hughes – Chairman of Salford University Hockey Club
Third Year Aviation Technology with Pilot Studies student
'Joining Hockey has enhanced my University experience by allowing me to meet new people who, I’m sure, will remain lifelong friends. It also has helped me to build my confidence which comes in handy for University presentations. Additionally, it has allowed me to travel around the North West and meet other hockey clubs and provides activities that aren’t related to hockey in my spare time such as Team BBQ’s! The skills I have gained have allowed me to become a better hockey player by training with top Hockey coaches. The best part of joining Hockey is meeting such a variety of different people, male and female!'
Gail Hardy - Chairperson Women's Rugby Union Club
Third Year Wildlife conservation with Zoo Biology
'Being part of the Rugby team has given me the opportunity to make friends outside of my course and enjoy University life to the full. I have gained a huge amount of skills having not played rugby before University. I am now a valued member of the club, off and on the pitch. I have made more friends by joining the women's rugby team, of whom I can count on and know many of them are friends for life.'
